Q: Do you offer programs for both sweep rowers and scullers?
A: Yes and no. While all of our official Masters programs are intended for sweep rowers, the club does own a small
fleet of single and double sculls (some of dubious heritage) and one quad. Our Juniors program does accomodate high schoolers who would like to scull -- speak to the coach
if you are interested. There is also a growing number of club memebrs with their own singles and a few with doubles. Many of them head to the water at 7 a.m. on Saturday and
Sunday morning. For more information about joining these rows, see Row/Scullers.
Q: What are the opportunities for racing as a member of Bainbridge Island Rowing?
A: We love to race! For the current regatta schedule, check out Race/Regatta Schedule. For information about the Juniors program, go to Row/Juniors. For information about the Masters programs, go to Row/Masters.

Q: What's with this online registration and payment system? Can I still download paper forms and pay by check?
A: Our online registration and payment system is new as of
Spring 2008. It's safe, it's secure, and it's fast and easy. No, you may not fill in paper forms; all signups and registrations are now done online. (The only exception is
the float test.) Begin by clicking LOG IN and then follow the instructions on
the screen. And yes, you may still pay by check if you wish. As you go through the online process, you'll be offered a choice of paying by credit or debit card, or by
check.
Active military and full-time students, when you register as a member, choose the pay-by-check option, and then send
in a check for $90. Your account will be adjusted appropriately when the check is logged in to the system.
Q: I have a single of my own. Can I store it at the boatyard?
A: Yes, if there's room. For information, see Join/Store a Boat.
Q: What if I've never rowed before? How can I try it out?
A: National Learn-to-Row Day is Saturday, June 7, 2008. On that day, we'll be offering lots of
opportunities for interested newbies to get in a boat. From mid April through August, we also offer learn-to-row classes that will give you a more in-depth experience. To
sign up for a learn-to-row class or see the current schedule, visit Row/Learn-to-Row.
