Sweep Masters Rowing Programs 2013
BIR offers several different sweep programs to accomodate a variety of work schedules, rowing goals, competition goals, and levels of rowing experience. See below for details.
If you are interested in a particular program, check first with its coordinator to make sure it's the right program for you; there may be times during preparation for a particular race when it's not appropriate to accomodate new rowers. Then use the Doodle scheduler to let the coach and coordinator(s) know when you'll be at practice.
RACING: The first two races have been selected - Doodle in here if you'd like to race!
SATURDAY ROWING: Doodle in here if you'd like to row. Saturday rowing is now 7:00 - 9:00.
Early morning rowing
If you are game for a rigorous early morning workout and genuinely interested in perfecting your technique to the racing or near-racing level, this program's for
you. Please Doodle in (or out) by 4 p.m. the day before a row.
Practice times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 4:45 a-6:15 a.m

Mid-morning rowing
This group focuses on improving rowing technique and conditioning, and training for competition. While most members are training for competition, the group includes both racers and non-racers. Members of this rowing group are experienced rowers expected to row a minimum of two times/week, with this group or in combination with another Masters rowing group. If you are not sure this is the correct rowing group for you, please contact Coach Molly (mkat56@comcast.net).
Please Doodle in for the entire week ahead by 3 pm Monday. Make any necessary changes on Doodle by 4 pm the day before you'd like to row.

It will also be an excellent group for those who haven't rowed for a year or more, those who want to focus on skill development, or those who plan to row no more than 1 or 2 days a week. Members of this group might enter some novice or low key competition. Please doodle in (or out) by 3:00 pm a day ahead.
Practice times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday* 9:00-10:45 a.m.
*We will add Friday rowing when there are 5 (o more) rowers who wish to regularly row on those days.
