Masters Sweep Rowing

Sweep rowing programs Spring 2012

BIR offers several different sweep programs to accomodate a variety of work schedules, rowing goals, and levels of rowing experience. If you are interested in a particular program, check first with its coordinator to make sure it's the right program for you (there may be times during preparation for a particular race when it's not appropriate to accomodate new rowers). Then use the Doodle scheduler to let the coach and coordinator(s) know when you'll be at practice.

Early morning rowing
If you are game for a rigorous early morning workout and genuinely interested in perfecting your technique to the racing or near-racing level, this program's for you. Please Doodle in (or out) by 6 p.m. the night before a row.

Practice times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 4:45 a-6:15 a.m. and Saturday, 7-9 a.m.

Mid-morning rowing
This group focuses on improving rowing technique and conditioning, and is appropriate for both racers and non-racers. Please Doodle in (or out) by 4 o'clock the day before you'd like to row.

Practice times: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9-11 a.m.

Evening rowing
The same kind of workout as the early morning group, but later in the day.

Practice times: Monday & Wednesday 6:15-7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7-9 a.m.
